Abstract:

Ethno-Veterinary Medicine (EVM) or Veterinary Anthropology refers to holistic and interdisciplinary study of traditional knowledge, skills, methods, practices and folk beliefs of the people about the health care, healthful husbandry and production of livestock (Yadav, 2014, Mc Corkle, 1986, 1996). This study aims to document information about ethno-botanical information and its traditional use by the local inhabitant for the treatment of livestock in different villages of Nainital district, Uttarakhand.
