Gallstone ileus: a friquently missed diagnosis, case report and review of literatures

Abstract:

Gall stone ileus is a rare complication of the commonly encountered disease cholelithiasis. It represents a serious geriatric surgical emergency that have to be considered in any case of intestinal obstruction in the elderly even in the absence of previous history of symptomatizing cholelithiasis.
