DETERMINATION OF WATER QUALITY INDEX OF SEWAGE WATER FOR QUICK ASSESSMENT OF BIOMONITORING AND BIOREMEDIATION

Abstract:

Champa Devi site of Ramgarh Lake is being polluted day by day due to heavy sewage discharge of colonies situated at the catchment of this lake. Its water used in drinking purpuses by the cattles and in ground water recharging. Therefore, an attempt has been made to treat sewage water with a low cost biotreatment method and assess the bioremediation by determining the WQI of biotreated sewage water.
