Abstract:

The fruiting body powder of Pleurotus ostreatus (oyster mushroom) and Agaricus bisporus (button mushroom) was extracted with ethanol by using the agar well diffusion technique, the extract were tested for their antifungal activity against six fungi belonging to 5 genera viz. Aspergillus flavus, Aspergillus fumigatous, Penicillium chrysogenum, Sporotricum carnis, Humicola grisea and Thermoascus aurantiacus.
