Abstract:

Butterflies are abundant and diverse group of insects and receive reasonable amount of attention throughout world. In Indian region about 1504 species of butterflies are recorded. The present study was carried out with a view to survey the diversity of butterfly in Rajeeve Gandhi Smriti Van. Selected site is located 12k.m. away, in the south from Raipur city. It is an unique ex situ conservation site for butterflies, spreading over an area of . It was develop to improve public awareness towards the conservation of nature and environment
