Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the functional outcome in cases of penetrating brain injuries using Karnofsky performance scale (KPS). This prospective study was conducted to include 47 patients subjected to penetrating brain injury and admitted to the Emergency Department (ED) of Alexandria Main University Hospital from March 2014 to February 2016.

Keywords:

penetrating traumatic brain injury (pTBI) , karnofsky performance scale (KPS)
